Sorry I’ve been MIA on my blog. I’m smack in the middle of a huge transition period in my life and am dealing with a lot of personal growth and change, which I may or may not choose to discuss here. I also am in the middle of a grief cycle after the loss of my dear friend/surrogate mother Sandy. But, there are still a couple of things that I am very excited about and wanted to tell you about. They both involve hyperhidrosis hope and awareness.
First: I was accepted for publication on Rebelle Society! Read my piece and leave some comments.
Rebelle Society is based out of Denmark, and their About Us and Creative Manifesto bring me to tears. Take these lines, for example: “We give our life its color and its voice, we shout our songs over the rooftops of the world. We say what goes and what stays. We only get one shot at life and we would like to make it count.”
When I submitted this piece to Rebelle Society, I found out just a day later that they liked my work and wanted to publish it. It’s all about taking risks. So I put myself and my hyperhidrosis out there, and I’ll be damned – they liked it! I plan on submitting more of my work to them in the near future.
Second, a celebrity/actress/writer reads my blog and linked to it in one of her posts! Her name is Elena Levon and the post is called Don’t Sweat It.
So, that’s what’s going on lately. Stay tuned for what happened at the celebration of life service for my friend Sandy. It involves me and public speaking. Your hands are totally dripping with sweat now over the mere mention of that, aren’t they?
